Sanitation System replaced

Here are the before and after shots of the Sanitation system replacment.  It took 4 days and with my chief engineer and friends advice, Dean Calkins, it is a lot simpler and completly meets USCG standards.  Oh, I should mention without Deans hair dryer to expand the hoses over the barbs, I know personally they will not go on, thanks Dean (I'm always learning.....)! The macerator to be installed.

Clock Repaired

The clock to replace was around $800.00 with the barometer along with it, so we went to Hobby Lobby and found for $8.00 the inside replacement.

Tammy fixed the port hole covers to where I don't get talked to or a stern look when I breathe and they fall off, here is a before and after.  Oh and notice they are tartan like our Tartan 37!

The memory foam mattress for my princess in the Vberth cut to fit.  Polished the teak in Vberth area complete.  The head is super stiff when pumping into holding tank, more to follow.  Made list of tasks now prioritizing list.  Moved some more storage boxes on board to be sorted, trashed or even installed on board.

Tartan 37 - Living and Loving Life

So we bought the Tartan 37.

We cleaned and polished the cabin.  We have moved on board.  We've bent the sails on.  Rigging has been tuned and cotter rings installed.  Feet installed on swim ladder.  Rebuilt the Wilcox head.

Tartan 37' Hull 28

We had decided to shop around for another larger boat.  After the past couple of months research, many disappointing boats, we accidently found a Tartan 37 to cruise on.  The survey was completed yesterday and looks good, the official report today.

The owner cannot sail her anymore, so we helped bend the sails on and other projects; which helped to get to know the boat better.  We can live on her with ample room.  After the sea trail I just wanted to head out then, but after some months of working to become debt free again, save some cash and were off to cruise!  She felt fast and responsive!
